When Mr. Bingley first met Elizabeth, he thought she was not pretty enough and her family background and social status were inferior to his own. This arrogant attitude made Elizabeth develop a prejudice against him.
Mrs. Bennet and her daughters also had many prejudices. For example, when Mr. Darcy first came to visit the Bennet family, they thought he was a wealthy second-generation who just wanted to marry into a prestigious family. This prejudice made them overlook Mr. Darcy's true qualities and character.
In addition, there are other characters in the novel who exhibit arrogant and prejudiced behavior. For instance, Mr. Darcy's sister is very cold towards the Bennet girls because she thinks their social status is low; and Mrs. Hurst, a cousin of the Bennet family, is also prejudiced against Jane's sister Lydia because of her awkward behavior in social situations.
