“Master, I have been practicing diligently every day, but I still cannot seem to master the technique you taught me,” said the young disciple, bowing respectfully before his master.
The old master smiled kindly at his student. “Do not be discouraged, my child. The path of cultivation is a long and arduous one. It takes time and patience to achieve mastery.”
“But Master, I see others who started after me already surpassing me in their skills,” the disciple lamented.
“Do not compare yourself to others,” the master admonished. “Each person’s journey is unique. You must focus on your own progress and trust in the process.”
The disciple nodded, understanding his master’s words. “Thank you, Master. I will continue to work hard and trust in the process.”
The master placed a hand on his student’s shoulder. “That is all I ask of you. Remember, the true goal of cultivation is not just to gain power, but to cultivate oneself and become a better person.”
“I understand, Master,” the disciple replied with determination in his voice.
The two continued their training, the master guiding his student with patience and wisdom. As they practiced, the disciple felt a sense of peace and purpose wash over him. He knew that he had found his true calling in life, and he would do everything in his power to achieve his goals.
And so, the journey of cultivation continued, with the master and disciple working together towards their shared goal of enlightenment and mastery.
